China is featured during Berks Unity DayChina is the featured country during this year's Unity Day celebration at Penn State Berks. An annual Penn State event that helps bring students, faculty, staff, and the community together to celebrate diversity through various activities, Unity Day will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All Unity Day activities are free and open to the public.
Activities in honor of the Chinese theme will include professional "dragon" dancers, as well as students enacting a Chinese wedding and presenting vocal and dance performances. Other highlights include a fashion show, big chair photos, and a DJ outside the Perkins Student Center.
Chancellor Susan Phillips Speece will host the annual "hands across campus" event at 1:00 p.m.
