Terry Speicher is an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Penn State Berks. Since joining the college in 2000, he coordinated the associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from 2002 until 2005, when he became the program coordinator for the baccalaureate degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology. He chaired the EMET Curricular Committee from 2005 until 2009 implementing two program revisions under his leadership. He is the affiliate professor for Project Lead the Way, a national pre-engineering program for high schools and middle schools in the state of Pennsylvania.
Prof. Speicher was previously employed at the National Aeronautics and Spece Administration in Cleveland, Ohio from 1977 to 1979. He worked at Hughes Space and Communications Co. in El Sugundo, California from 1979 to 1996. He was employed at Nearfield Systems, Inc, in Carson, California from 1996 to 2000.
Prof. Speicher is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a certified Project Management Professional. He brings to the classroom over twenty years of high tech experience from the aerospace and wireless communications industries. His teaching interests are in engineering graphics, engineering design, project management, and engineering ethics.
