PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS

ADJUNCT ORGANIC CHEMISTRY TEACHER

Penn State Berks is searching for someone to teach a 2-credit organic laboratory course beginning fall 2013. The course will run each semester (and possibly over the summer). The time requirements are 5 laboratory hours per week plus grading time. Maximum lab size is 24 students. Technical support is available for solution preparation. The teacher will be responsible for ensuring that students clean-up each lab area, following all safety regulations, and following the prescribed syllabus established for the course. ADJUNCT CELL BIOLOGIST

The course will run each semester beginning fall 2013. The time requirements are 6 laboratory hours per week plus grading time. Maximum lab size is 18 students. The teacher will be responsible for preparing and supervising student labs, following all safety regulations, and following the prescribed syllabus established for the course. Laboratory can be taught two afternoons per week or two evenings per week.  A minimum of Master’s Degree with academic background in this area is required. ADJUNCT BIOLOGY TEACHER

Penn State Berks is searching for someone to teach two sections of a 3-credit introductory biology course. This course will run each semester and the time requirements are 6 teaching hours plus preparation and grading, beginning fall 2013. The course enrollment in each section runs approximately 60 students each semester (120 total per semester). The teacher will be responsible for following the prescribed syllabus for the course. The course can be taught in the evening hours if necessary.  A minimum of Master’s Degree with academic background in this area is required. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Minimum of three years of industrial experience. Professional engineering license and previous teaching experience is preferred. Must be able to teach in the evening.
