Follow these steps:
1) Visit our schedule of courses to determine which courses you are interested in.
Be sure to note the course name, schedule number, which summer session the course is offered, and number of credits for the courses you are interested in. After locating the courses you are interested in, please verify by checking the Schedule of Courses to verify: 1) seats are currently available; 2) you have met any prerequisites for the courses.
***Please note that if you plan to take English 015, a Math, a Chemistry course, or need more information on prerequisites, you should contact the Academic Advising office at 610-396-6280.
2) Review pertinent information regarding the semester for which you are registering. Review Registration Information
3) Fill out a Course Registration Form and a Drop/Add Form
- Undergraduate Nondegree Enrollment Form (PDF opens in new window)
- Registration Drop/Add Form (PDF opens in new window)
4) Pay your bill.
Please keep in mind that your bill must be paid at least one week prior to the start of the session for which you are registering.
There are three payment options:
- Check or Money Order
Send a check or money order by mail, payable to The Pennsylvania State University, along with your registration form.
- In Person
Stop by the Bursar's Office in the lobby of the Franco Building (map of campus) to pay your bill (except for credit card payments, see below).
- Credit Card
Penn State only accepts online Credit Card payments using Visa or Mastercard. You will need two things to pay by credit card: 1) a Penn State ID number; and 2) a Penn State Access Account.
Here's how to do it: Within 10-14 days after sending in your registration form, your ID number and Access Account should be set up. To verify if your account has been set up, call our IT department at 610-396-6047. When your account is ready, you will need to come to the Registration Office in the main lobby of the Franco Building (map of campus) to obtain your PSU ID number. Next, you will activate your Access Account in Thun Library (map of campus). After completing these steps, you will be able to pay your bill online with a credit card.
